MHA constitutes TMG to take action against ‘terror’ financing, activities | KNO

Srinagar, March 29 (KNO) : Ministry of Home Affairs, department of Jammu and Kashmir Affairs on Friday constituted a Multi-Disciplinary Terror Monitoring Group (TMG) to ensure synergized and concerted action against terror financing and other terror related activities in Jammu and Kashmir. According to an order, a copy of which lies with KNO reads that MHA has constituted a team of seven members including ADGP, CID, JK Police as its Chairman, IGP JK Police, Additional Director IB J&K, Representative of CBI, Representative of NIA, Representative of CBDT, Representative of CBIC and any other member co-opted by the chairman has been appointed as TMG members. The TMG group has been asked to take coordinated action in all the registered cases that relate to terror, terror financing and terror related activities and bring them to logical conclusion. They will also identify all key persons including leaders of the organizations who are involved in supporting terrorism in any form and take concerted action against them. The group will also investigate the networks of various channels being used to fund terror and terror related activities and take coordinated action to stop flow of such funds. It will also take action against hardcore sympathizers amongst Government employees including teachers and others who are providing covert or overt support to such activities. The group will also meet on a weekly basis and submit their action taken report regularly.(KNO)
